Project Serve: SERCAP
Community Development in Selma, Alabama
The Southeast Rural Community Assistance Program began more than 30 years ago by bringing water to rural communities in the Roanoke Valley of Virginia. In Selma, Alabama, SERCAP works in the community to rehabilitate housing in low-income neighborhoods. In addition, students will meet with community leaders to learn about the incredible history of Selma. Best of all, each dinner will be provided by local churches, so bring your elastic waistbands.
