El Negrito is an impoverished community of about 70 people in the province of Santiago del Estero in northern Argentina. The families that live there do not have access to clean water, electricity, medical care, or a strong education system. Residents live simple lives, isolated from much of the world. The nearest road is 12 miles away and navigated only by way of foot, horse-drawn carriage, or motorcycle. We seek to increase their quality of life by installing wells for clean water, lights, and electricity, in collaboration with other non-profit organizations. We also seek to improve their education system and nutritional diets. Pepperdine students in Buenos Aires have been involved with the community this year and are passionate about changing these lives for the glory of God. We hope that in the future, more Pepperdine students will serve here as part of their summer abroad experience and create lasting relationships with the people of El Negrito.
All gifts to this project are tax deductible and all gifts over $5 will receive a printed receipt in the mail.
I would like to invest $1000 in helping start the El Negrito Program!
