Hey 1Ls, 2Ls, and 3Ls!
As law students, we have a new opportunity to directly help students in need. The School of Law Student Emergency Fund was created by the students, for the students. The gifts we give go straight into an account that the Student Care Team distributes to students in crises.
The Student Emergency Fund does not go towards any administrative action, nor does it go towards improving facilities. We worked together with administration to establish this fund for the sole benefit of law students going through unforeseen difficulties. For years to come, students who meet the criteria set out by the Student Care Team will never have to worry about housing problems, health care costs, or any other expense that might get in the way of finishing their law education.
Our dean of students wholeheartedly believes in our cause. Now through March 8th, Dean Schultz is personally contributing an extra $100 for every ten of us who give. So whether you can give $5 or $20, we hope that you will participate in establishing this legacy.
