Stephen Dickter Memorial Scholarship

Stephen Dickter’s commitment to excellence flowed through his work behind the camera and into media research.  

He focused on the big picture, inspiring others to contribute to the greater good.   Whether on set or in the classroom, Stephen lived by high standards undergirded with a generous sense of humor. 

Stephen helped forge Pepperdine’s University’s graduate degree in Media Production.   He crafted curriculum that he hoped to teach, blending academic rigor with industry standards. 

The Stephen Dickter Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to students like Stephen who may have pushed pause on their professional career to extend their skills through graduate education.   We expect recipients of the scholarship to follow Stephen’s model in giving back by investing in the next generation of visual storytellers and media makers.

Stephen's friends and family have already donated $10,000 to this scholarship fund in memory of Stephen.   We would like to double that by raising another $10,000 this month.  

Our ultimate goal is to raise $100,000 to establish a permanent scholarship fund.   We're grateful to all who honor Stephen by investing in the next wave of storytellers.
